Evergreen Enterprises is currently looking for a Business and Data Analyst

The Business and Data Analyst will gather, review, analyze, and evaluate data, business processes and operational objectives, to define solutions that support business strategies as well as make recommendations for improvement. This position will design and create reports and data visualizations. The Business and Data Analyst will support the Executive Team's efforts across our portfolio.
The Business and Data Analyst will be expected to make trips to an Evergreen sister company located in Madison, VA roughly 5-6 times per year. Madison, VA is approximately 90 minutes from Richmond.
Responsibilities:
- Extract and analyze data from multiple sources to derive business insights and recommend solutions
- Create dynamic reports using SQL, PowerBI and other technologies for a wide variety of business units and end users
- Review, analyze, and validate data and reports to ensure quality of delivery to internal and external clients
- Prepare projections, reports, and presentations on the impact that a strategic initiative may have on the organization.
- Support business users in the evaluation, integration and utilization of software tools that streamline business processes and enable better decision making.
- Assist in financial analysis, forecasting and, reconciliation of internal financial data.
- Compile and analyze data regarding new business ventures, prospective acquisition targets, and internal business units.
- Assist in acquisition identification and due diligence which includes but is not limited to valuation modeling, competitive analysis, integration analysis, and contract preparation.
- Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in computer information systems, marketing, finance, accounting, statistics, or mathematics preferred.
- 1-3 years of work experience in a related position is preferred.
- Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Access and Power BI is preferred.
- Solid, advanced experience with EXCEL is mandatory.
- Strong financial and quantitative analysis ability, understanding of basic accounting definitions and relationships - knowledge of P&L statements, cashflows and balance sheets.
- Basic understanding of direct marketing a plus
- Solid understanding of business practices, problem-solving skills, and business intuition.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility to attend functions and events outside of typical business hours.
