Job Summary / Responsibilities

We are seeking Carpet Burlers to join us in our Bloomsburg Carpet mill in Bloomsburg, PA. We will train!

The Burler is responsible for inspecting all carpet for weaving errors/imperfections. With assistance, burlers transfer carpet from carpet trucks onto burling table by using carpet hooks and pulleys. While walking along the burling table, Burlers thoroughly inspect the carpet (both front and back) looking for any imperfections. If an imperfection is found, through a process using specific yarn and needles, the Burler repairs the carpet. If the repaired carpet is not back to its perfect state, the Burler notifies their supervisor for further instructions.

Overtime is not mandatory and is offered to everyone on a voluntary basis only. The overtime schedule is very flexible, workers can put their desired amount of extra time in on the weekends or during additional weekday shifts.

The qualifications of this role include:

• Have good practical ability.
• Concentrate and stand for long periods of time.
• Do repetitive work.
• Understand health and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail.
• Use of both hands to sew.
• Ability to walk along burling table.
