Momnt is a fast-growing startup fintech company headquartered in Atlanta, GA with team members remote throughout the country. We are looking for an Bookkeeper/ AP Specialist to support the month and year-end closing procedures and assist with the reconciliations of company transactions while maintaining Momnts books and records.
This position assists in overseeing Momnts financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. This individual will track and research any accounting issues that arise. They will work closely with all internal business units to aid in their financial tracking.
Location:
This position is located in Atlanta, GA. The team operates in a hybrid model. Relocation is not available at this time.

As a Bookkeeper/ AP Specialist, you will:
- Manage administration of various company external A/P Programs
- Provide support during month and year-end closing procedures for all Accounting/Finance departments.
- Assist with General Ledger Accounts owned by AP to ensure minimal to no aging of payables as well as initiate further review of any transactions as needed.
- Record financial data ensuring that data is entered correctly and accurately.
- Review of all General Ledger Accounts and support any internal or external audits related to the team
- Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
- Generate month end journal entries
- Develop basic financial reports and analysis
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and reconcile open issues.
- Responsible for making sure all disbursements have proper documentation supporting any and all disbursements, including bills, expense reports and company credit card charges
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheet and any other reports required by departmental budgets
- Work with other members of the accounting and finance team
- Attend weekly team meeting
- Perform other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
You’d be a good fit if:
- 2+ years of public Bookkeeping experience
- Experience in Accounts Payable
- Must have a high degree of knowledge of generally accepted principles and procedures of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting software QuickBooks Online, Excel, Google Sheets
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, establish priorities and meet deadlines
