This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 08:00am - 05:00pm. Our office is located at 1001 Adams Ave.Norristown, PA 19401.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Focused efforts on increasing cash and reducing bad debt
- Apply payments and denials to third party carriers in all media types
- Interpret Explanation of Benefits for appropriate follow up action
- Complete refunds / adjustments to customer's accounts, while providing necessary back-up information in order to maintain accuracy
- Contact Third Party carriers to follow up on denied and unresponded claims
- Analyze and apply denials and manual cash
- Process and review claims
- May have contact with insurance carriers, clients, patients and/or other outside sources
- Regular research involving both the web and billing systems
- Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times
- Meet or exceed daily production standards
- Meet or exceed daily quality standards
- Ability to work on various other projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of experience in A/R, Billing, or Collections
- Demonstrated ability using computers and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and ability to learn new computer programs
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (general spreadsheet navigation, data entry and sorting)
- Experiencewith Microsoft Outlook (create/schedule meetings, calendar invites, and create folders)
- Previous work experience with data entry
- Ability to work onsite per business needs in Norristown, PA
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within Norristown, PA
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some College (or higher)
- 6+ months of working in Insurance or Healthcare industry
- Certified medical coder or involved with medical coding
- Previous experience with medical claims processing
- Medical terminology knowledge/experience
Soft Skills:
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment requiring strong multi - tasking and problem-solving skills
