**Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm**
Position responsibilities:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Oversee the benefit portion of new-hire orientations.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to 403b and 457 inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment and compliance testing.
- Oversees the open enrollment process.
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billing and preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
- Keeps appraised of federal, state and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. Ensure timelines and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Participates on committees and special projects as assigned and required.
Essential skills and experience:Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field is required. Current employee benefits administration experience required. Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Essential requirements for the position: Must demonstrate specialized knowledge of applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to benefit programs, company policies, and operations. Must have strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems is required.
