Overview
The Benefits Specialist, under general supervision, is responsible for performing benefit related duties on a professional level and works closely with benefit carriers and brokers. The Specialist will provide informational support to Team Members and assist in resolving benefit issues and processing. Ensure that benefit coverage, programs, and communications are aligned with the business objectives and goals. The specialist is responsible for the following functional areas: benefits administration, problem resolution, tool development, performing routine audits and communication.

Responsibilities
- Maintain relationships with benefits broker and carriers {Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, 401(k), EAP, Wellness, etc.}.
- Review weekly deduction files to confirm accuracy and communicate adjustments to payroll team.
- Review, process, and respond to medical support notices.
- Work with disability carrier to submit employer statements in a timely manner and provide weekly status reports to site locations.
- Coordinate benefit deductions.
- Process life claims as needed.
- Review weekly 401(k) deductions, clear errors, and fund timely. Participate in annual 401(k) audit and NDT.
- Assist with annual benefits open enrollment: review communications, provide toolkits, assist T&D and team members with enrollment, and provide reports as needed.
- Submit monthly headcount for EAP.
- Identify issues through routine benefit audits and take corrective action.
- Provide benefits onboarding for remote corporate team members, as needed.
- Provide benefits reporting as requested.
- Participate in team meetings and attend other meetings as required.
- Provides support with reconciling benefits invoicing and resolve discrepancies with carriers and
- Complete benefit inquiries.
- Provides support with benefits administration, changes in coverage, COBRA compliance and subsidy setup, termination of benefits, and communicating benefit information to team
- Assists with special projects as necessary.
- Assist team member in registration and use of mobile applications on their devices for apps utilized for benefits.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Follows attendance Observes department call-in procedures. Exhibits timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years working in a benefits/HR function or related experience required.
- Experience with Workday, Success Factor and ADP a
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strong attention to
- Prioritization skills in order to determine which tasks need to be handled
- Excellent communication Must be able to speak, write, read and interpret documents in English. The ability to do the same in Spanish is a plus.
- Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, as well as other PC programs that may be required by the function/area. Expertise with Microsoft Office in order to compile data for analysis which may include charts, graphs, or Type 55 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
