This position manages and ensures competitive, compliant benefit programming throughout Benedictine; includes development and deployment of programs, administration and compliance of associate benefit programming, providing training to community human resource professionals, and managing the setup and on-going functionality of related benefit modules within the HCM system.
Responsibilities- Manage all Benedictine benefit programs (executive and non-executive programs) ensuring strategic objectives are met and plans are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluates and compares existing benefit programs with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Participates in area and industry surveys; analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
- Identifies specifications for new plans/programs or modifies existing plans/programs to maintain Benedictine's competitive position in the labor market.
- Maintains benefit plans to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and ensures materials are updated accordingly (plan documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, forms, etc.).
- Manages the tracking and ultimate payment calculations of the Benedictine Management Incentive Plan in order to be responsive to Benedictine's strategic objectives and competitive practices;
- Assists with the transitions of communities within Benedictine to ensure a smooth transition for the associates of newly acquired or departing communities.
- Manages the benefits module of the HCM system ensuring data integrity, compliance and functionality to ensure successful delivery and that the system is being utilized to its full capacity.
- Through direct reports, manages the Educational Assistance Program for Benedictine insuring policy is followed and fairness is maintained.
- Manages all LOA programs for Benedictine and insures proper administration of LOA's per company policy.
- Manages the selection, training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for Benedictine.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources management or closely aligned field of study
- Six (6) or more years of progressive experience working in complex service organizations with responsibility for benefits and compensation
- Advanced skills in Excel and HCM systems
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry
- CEBS or Professional in Human Resource certification (PHR)
