Job Description
- Assist with preparing various insurance invoicing for sign off.
- Assist with required benefit notices dissemination and assist to ensure regulatory compliance and assist information during annual auditing activities.
- Assist with NEP’s 401k account administration, including activities around enrollment, address change, termination, status updates, and company changes.
- Assist with application of COBRA subsidies on an ad hoc basis in BenefitSolver.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits within appropriate benefit systems and in coordination with payroll for proper payroll deductions. Audit the bi-weekly BenefitSolver one pay period adjustment file, permanent enrollment change file, and earnings file.
- Forward the funding file for the employee and employer HSA to vendor.
- Provide support for benefit open enrollment, including data management with appropriate systems, scheduling, employee support and other benefit activities.
- Provide services to employees such as answering benefit questions, resolving issues, claim management, processing enrollment, changes.
- Support employee actions around Life Events.
- Uploads benefit related documents into ADP.
- Develop communications for employee benefit programs and procedures.
- Perform new employee benefit orientation and coordinate all related benefit paperwork, including dependent verification and waive credit.
- Assist with coordination of NEP’s wellness initiatives.
- In conjunction with the Absence Management Vendor, coordinate all functions of employee’s leave of absence. Updating timesheets, complete ECF’s, create continuation letters for those on unpaid LOA, FMLA exhaustion coordination with COBRA vendor and employee.
- Benefits arrears billing and collections.
- Updates worksite communication monitor information monthly.
- Responds to emails and voicemails and calls to US Benefits, forwards as appropriates.
- Attends various benefit and vendor related meetings.
- Provide direct assistance to the Benefits and Human Resources Department as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in human resources, administration or related field, and 3-5 years of related benefits administration experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws and experience in a self-insured environment preferred
- Demonstrated skills in office support, benefits administration, and human resources.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and operation of Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel-pivot tables, VLOOKUP, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Internet Explorer, etc.).
- Demonstrated skills to secure research and statistical data for competitive analysis including benefits benchmarking.
- Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling/coordinating multiple projects. Self-starter.
- Excellent communication, decision-making and relationship-building skills.
