This includes a thorough understanding of food items available, resident dietary needs, proper serving guidelines, cleanliness expectations, and special diets. Assist with duties to ensure community meets sanitation standards.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each resident and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem guests and having them removedKeep bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health departmentMaintain an accurate charge drawer throughout the day and be able to account for all discrepancies in the final drawer tallyMix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimumDevelop an efficient work pace that keeps the residents at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all timesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Resume and proven working experience as a bartenderExcellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinksComputer literacyPositive attitude and excellent communication skillsAbility to keep the bar organized, stocked and cleanRelevant training certificateEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate or equivalentSERV Safe-Bar CertificationEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year as a Bartender in a large-scale cooking operation, preferably in Senior Living or RestaurantPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: Able to stand or walk 75% of the dayAble to concentrate with frequent interruptionsAble to work under stress and in emergency situationsAble to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and graspingAble to talk and hear effectively in order to convey instructions and information to residents and team membersOccasionally lift/carry up to 50 poundsOCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE / PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Work in all areas of the communitySubject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditionsUse personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infectionPersonal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoesThis position is exposed to very hot water, hot oven temperatures, sharp knives and utensils, and broken glass, slippery wet floors and other ordinary kitchen environmental risks, requirements for personal protective equipment are apron, hair net, chef's hat and coat, rubber gloves, hot pads, non-slip shoes, short sleevesSubject to infectious diseases, substances, and odorsFollow Safety Policy & Procedures
