Bartender Server

BASIC SUMMARY:

To be the first point of contact for our Members, ensure excellent customer service, and a pleasant dining experience.

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

As a Food and Beverage employee positivity and a sense of urgency are a must. An up-beat attitude is necessary, and a member-first mind state is mandatory. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner. Keeping a clean and organized environment is a job requirement as it ensures an expedited and efficient delivery of product. Being able to multitask and make well thought out decisions is a must.

BARTENDER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Punctuality! Punctuality displays a person’s respect for people and time.
• Welcoming members, read and listen to our members to determine beverage preference.
• Making cocktail recommendations
• Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
• Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks
• Maintain and cleans bar area and equipment through- out your shift.
• Reports complaints to manager as they occur.
• Be familiar with state and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic beverages.
• Assist host/hostess with answering the phone.
• Keeps records of bar inventory and always keeps it stocked at par levels .
• Cleans according to prescribed closing procedures

SERVER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Punctuality! Punctuality displays a person’s respect for people and time.
• Introduce our menu and describe different dishes and drinks.
• Make recommendations on specialties
• Take orders & deliver them in a timely manner
• Adhere to food, sanitary and safety standards.
• Inspect the quality and looks of dishes, making sure they uphold standards.
• Identify and resolve any special requirements, wants and needs of our Members.
• Deliver checks
• Collaborate closely with other staff members.
• Consistent reliable attendance

EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to effectively and professionally deal with members, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse tense situations and upset members and guests
• Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly over the telephone
• Ability to achieve positive member relations and maximize member satisfaction
• (Bartender Only) High School Education is a must, College education is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

• Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Ability to perform the duties of this job while exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word accurately, loudly and quickly.

Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities.
