As the DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for holistically leading design, implementation and support of AWS Infrastructure for Corporate IT and Engineering workloads. You will be a critical driving force for collaboration between various departments (i.e., Engineering, Data Center, Architecture and Security) to ensure workload requirements are met and company policies are followed. With a focus in thought leadership as well as the ability to influence and lead within a matrix environment, you will recommend overall impactful solutions to enable further business success and achievements of enterprise goals.
Essential Functions:
- Build, maintain, and support AWS environments end to end
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL) for Terraform to implement new and maintain existing workloads in AWS Government and Commercial Environments
- Develop, review, and improve Terraform Code
- Lead meetings with stakeholders for requirements gathering and workload updates and progress
- Migrate workloads from on-premises to AWS or AWS back to on-premisesCoordinate with security department for cloud risk assessment and remediation
- Track tasks via ServiceNow and Microsoft Planner
- Author documentation to support processes, procedures, and diagrams
- Adherence Adhere to best practices, standards, policies, and procedures
- Promote positive end-user relationships through prompt support and resolution of AWS issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of IT experience
- 10 years of experience as a cloud or DevOps engineer with working knowledge of AWS environments
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Git, VisualCode
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Policy as Code (PaC), automated single-click deployment, configuration management, production support
- Working knowledge of configuration management strategies and automation tools (Ansible, Packer, Vagrant, Puppet, Terraform, ect)
- Proven expertise developing code in at least one high-level programming language and one or more scripting languages

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $119,500 - $221,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
