Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Avaya Engineer position. Candidate must have considerable CS1000 experience. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site duration of 12 Months with a full time hiring opportunity at the end. Opportunity to work with a local Healthcare provider in the Falls Church, VA area with 5 hospitals and multiple locations. Work is 100% on-site in Virginia.
Summary
The Avaya Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the migration from CS1K to Avaya Aura at 5 hospital locations. Work may also occur at main and secondary data centers as needed. Migration of users will be primary the responsibilities, but there will also be some troubleshooting and support of end users as well.
- Support the initiative to migrate from the Avaya CS1K system to Avaya Aura
- Diagnosing and remediating incidents and problems related to the migration from the CS1K to Avaya Aura
- Triaging customer issues across all technology stacks and working with onsite client leadership to complete requests as directed
- Fulfilling both simple and complex Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACDs) and/or Change Requests from users
- Providing timely and effective resolution of issues to meet business requirements and Service Level Agreements
- Providing follow up to ensure proper problem and resolution management is being done to prevent recurring incidents
- Mentoring Technicians and Level 1 Associate Engineers
- Maintain senior-level expertise with multiple products serviced by the Systems Engineering team
- 5+ years of related telecommunications experience
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in PBX/Telephony troubleshooting and support
- Experience working with multi-tiered ticket handling/resolution systems
- Perform/support Voice Enterprise Services integration testing as required
- Avaya ACSS-level certifications in Aura Communication Manager and CM Messaging is a nice to have
