This is a direct hire opportunity for a Level 2 AV technician in our AV division. Our labor rate ranges from $20/hr to $25/hr plus OT when approved, depending on your skills, how quickly you learn, and ability to meet the team's production levels. We cover mainly DFW but also travel opportunities across the state of Texas.

Bandera Networks is a provider of advanced IT and AV systems, primarily residential and some commercial. We provide Sales, Installation, and ongoing maintenance for our clients. Bandera IS is a leading provider of IOT solutions in DFW and nationwide. We nurture relationships in the MultiFamily and Rental markets to support this division.

Purpose of the Job: Role

An Installation Tech Level 2 holds a primary responsibility to learn and absorb the information and tasks that are issued to them. You should be eager to help and learn the skills needed to move up to Level 3 and beyond. You have the opportunity to excel at a rapid pace, should you take the initiative to do so. You are also very important to the efficiency of the company. This is not an easy position and you will be asked to solve problems, perform hard and at times, dirty tasks. You will also be given many opportunities to go above and beyond your skill level, pushing your comfort zone of knowledge. Your team leaders are there to guide you through situations, but it is ultimately on your shoulders to succeed and move up to Level 3 and forward.

App and Software Usage:

Team member is willing to learn and properly use all company software applications in a timely and efficient manner.

Installation Skills and Job Site Performance:

Pays attention to and follows the scope of work assigned to them.

Completes tasks in a timely manner and continues to be more efficient.

Tech Level 2 has demonstrated the ability to install TVs, Cameras, Speakers, and multiple other devices. Tech can read instructions for basics to installing something new.

Tech can identify/terminate, RG6, Cat5, Cat6, Cat6 Shielded, IR cables and other miscellaneous cables to equipment or devices.

Tech keeps a neat and organized tool bag. Tech knows how the van is loaded and how the job is staged upon arrival.

Tools and Test equipment:

Tech has the ability to use all the standard hand and power tools required to complete their assigned tasks.

Must have all the tools required from the tool inventory by the end of 90 days.

Personal Growth:

Tech has learned something new on a regular basis and is expressing a desire to learn new things.

Tech has arrived to work on or before required time consistently.

Travel:

Travel is a requirement. The time spent traveling is generally about 25% of the time. You could be out of town for a week at a time.

Experience:

Television mounting and installation

Sound system installation and troubleshooting

Access control and cabling

Tool usage and knowledge

Electrical or HVAC knowledge (a plus)

Requirements:

Team member can stand, squat, walk, and climb stairs up and down for an entire workday.
Moving at a swift pace for the day. Your team will move steadily; you will have to do the same.
Understanding blueprints, and design drawings, including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable supports.
