Carnegie Mellon University's department of Computing Services is searching for an AV Sr. Departmental TEF Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by set up, managing, and maintaining the audio-visual equipment that support University events on and off campus and resident equipment associated with technology enhanced facilities.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all of the audio-visual presentations and equipment is configured, set up correctly, operates smoothly, and is taken down and stored properly
  • Fulfilling orders for Event Services
  • Temporary installation, maintenance, and repair of AV equipment
  • May be required to repair equipment, maintain a catalog of equipment the organization owns, set up and operate equipment during events and demonstrations, etc.
  • Provide support for live presentations, distance learning and audio/visual conferencing
  • Work with university staff, faculty and students, and may work with outside vendors and non-university contractors for the implementation and support of AV equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience required
