COLLECTOR

Your role at YES!

As a Collector / Administrative assistant, we will be relying on you to manage several different office management responsibilities including preparing various professional correspondence, answering phones and greeting customers/residents, collecting payments from existing residents, and maintaining adequate levels of office supplies and office equipment.  You will also be depended upon to follow-up on any delinquencies and to work with residents in coordinating payment plans on both existing loans and rentals.  This may also include knocking on residents' homes to arrange payment plans or to collect on past due accounts.

Essential Functions:

• Answer phones and greet customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Prepare correspondence as directed.
• Maintain office files
• Order and verify receipt of supplies
• Maintain office equipment
• Collect payments from residents and assist them with electronic payment set-up
• Follow-up with any delinquent rent or loan accounts and coordinate repayment
• Create and maintain a positive Community environment
• Create and ensure a safe work environment
• Follow safety precautions and procedures
• Complete all work in a timely manner, without sacrificing quality
• Maintain professional behavior without interfering with the individual's work, interrupting the work of another team member, or disturbing the quality of life for Community Residents

Required Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office software products

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous collections experience
