Job Summary:
CAD Designers use AutoCAD to help generate drawings from customer prints and samples.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use CAD software to create detailed 2D designs for complex jobs.
- Initiate and maintain contact with customers for clarification, coordination, and negotiation on critical issues.
- Collaborate with others to establish timelines based on current workload.
- Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials.
- Ability to analyze date and situations and come up with creative solutions.
- Contributes to team efforts by performing duties within the CAD Department and other Departments, including production, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of CAD design software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and industry information.

Education and Experience:
- Preferred minimum of 2-year related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Work is performed by standing and/or walking.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day.
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
