Autocad Drafter

Come work for a local metal fabrication company located in Almont. We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our client's team. This is a Direct Hire position, Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00, shift can be either 6AM-2:30PPM (possible OT until 3:30PM or 4:30PM some days) Monday-Friday.

Job Summary:
CAD Designers use AutoCAD to help generate drawings from customer prints and samples. 
Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Use CAD software to create detailed 2D designs for complex jobs.
2. Initiate and maintain contact with customers for clarification, coordination, and negotiation on critical issues.
3. Collaborate with others to establish timelines based on current workload.
   1. Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials.
      1. Ability to analyze date and situations and come up with creative solutions.
      2. Contributes to team efforts by performing duties within the CAD Department and other Departments, including production, as needed. 
      3. Performs other related duties as assigned. 
   2. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
   3. Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of CAD design software
   4. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others. 
   5. Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and industry information.

   8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

   11. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Preferred minimum of 2-year related experience.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Work is performed by standing and/or walking. 
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively. 
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 60 pounds regularly. 
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently. 
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day. 
• Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
