Performs routine vehicle maintenance services, primarily oil changes, but may also include other basic vehicle services.  The Lube Tech is essential in keeping vehicles running smoothly and preventing engine damage due to inadequate lubrication.

Responsibilities:

• Perform oil changes using the correct type and amount of oil as specified by the manufacturer.
• Replace oil filters as needed and dispose of used oil and filters properly.
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues or maintenance needs.
• Check and top off essential fluids, such as coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and windshield washer fluid.
• Inspect and inflate tires to recommended pressure levels.
• Replace air filters and cabin air filters as necessary.
• Inspect other filters, such as fuel filters, and recommend replacement if needed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as lubricating chassis components and checking belts and hoses for wear.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, explaining the services performed and any recommended maintenance or repairs.
• Address customer questions or concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including details of the service, parts used, and any additional recommendations to customers.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working order.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Drive for continued education in the automotive field.
• Previous experience at an automotive dealership preferred.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
