Design sounds and create audio systems for an innovative gaming experience with a key developer/publisher. Collaborate as a core creative of the game development team. The listed pay range is the salary or hourly wage range that we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to background, skills, experience, education, geographic location, and market demands.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with, and as a day-to-day part of, the game development team
- Collaborate with the creative director and other discipline leads in production, design, tech, and art
- Sound design creation across all areas of the game
- Design and build audio systems in Wwise
- Work directly in Unreal Editor to integrate audio events
- Oversee the work of additional sound designers and audio implementors
Required Skills
Leadership & People Skills
- Experience as part of a game development team as audio lead or similar
- A high-level understanding of the game development process across disciplines
- Cross-discipline collaborative experience, both creative and technical
Creative Design Skills
- High degree of sound design proficiency across several areas - such as character movement, creatures, weapons, magic, ambiences
- Experience determining component assets that will work effectively in the context of the game and audio engine
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of Unreal Editor and experience shipping games with Unreal, Unity, or similar proprietary game editor.
- Experience shipping projects using Wwise audio middleware
- Building out audio systems in Wwise in tandem with a game editor such as:
- UI/UX Audio systems
- Weapons and Impact matrixes
- Environmental systems
- Automated mixing systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Unreal Blueprints (visual scripting)
Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS in applicable field preferred.
