Overview

MDVIP, an innovative leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a remote-based Athena EHR Clinical Application Support Specialist to provide our MDVIP affiliated physician practices exceptional application support and to ensure practices are able to optimize their use of the athena Electronic Health Record platform. The qualified candidate can develop an understanding of each practice's system set-up, office workflow, and practice goals to make innovative recommendations to further ensure their ongoing success. Support is provided telephonically, over email communication, as well as via web-based screen sharing sessions.  

 

Success in this telecommuting role requires the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with the affiliate physicians and their staff, internal MDVIP staff, and external vendors. It requires consistent, high quality client support interactions to be performed timely. Remote staff must have an adequate, confidential workspace available to efficiently perform their job functions.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver best-in- class software support and education to physician practices by identifying needs and applying problem-solving techniques to ensure a successful resolution. Create and manage support/training queue timely and successfully resolve incoming inquiries.
  • Plan, lead, monitor and execute multiple assigned projects simultaneously.
  • Educate on key modules to ensure high user satisfaction level and understanding of the product.
  • Develop and maintain Subject Matter Expertise (SME) knowledge of athenaClinicals/Communicator.
  • Schedule and complete individual MIPS reviews for affiliates and their staff, to support physicians' ability to meet CMS guidelines and achieve incentives.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in a relevant discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling.

Required Skills:  

    • At least two years athenaClinicals training or support experience.
    • Solid understanding of EHRs and medical office workflow.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Skills:

    • Direct experience using an EHR in a primary care medical office setting.
    • Understanding of MIPS program.
    • Proven ability to successfully work autonomously from a home office setting.

Computer Skills:

An intermediate skill level for Microsoft Excel and Word, and an advanced level of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams/Zoom or similar program. Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Salesforce (or other CRM).

 

Telecommuter roles:  This role is approved for home-based work, from the location identified at the time of hire and must be able to work the assigned schedule.  Any change of work location, even on a short-term or interim basis, must be reviewed by the Supervisor and HR and approved at the sole discretion and approval of executive leadership.
