Description/Comment:The Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for shipping finished goods and receiving raw materials. This associate will be cross trained in inventory control duties to cover team workload during vacations and other staff shortages. We need a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. You will receive and ship materials, move materials to and from storage locations, perform manual and administrative duties with various ERP and other computer systems, and complete tasks to support the manufacturing workflow while maintaining compliance with relevant local, national, and international guidelines.
This position belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within *** and is located in West Sacramento, CA. At Microbiology as one of the worlds leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Supply Chain team and report to the Materials Manager.
This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (start and end times somewhat flexible).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Schedule domestic and international shipments via 3PL suppliers, create accurate shipping documents, picks and packs product for shipment, and ship orders
Receive orders; verify quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates and part numbers
Reconcile inventory, perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
Move product to and from cold and ambient storage locations
Use powered industrial equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, and/or reach trucks
Complete compliance and safety training to schedules
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school degree (or equivalent degree)
Must be able to lift 50lbs infrequently
2+ years exp shipping/receiving in a warehouse or mfg. environment, ideally in medical manufacturing
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Forklift experience/license for Standing/Sitting Forklifts and scissor lifts
Experience with MS Office platform and Oracle or similar ERP system
