Our San Diego, CA site is in search of an Associate Metrology Engineering Technician to join our growing team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support internal and external customers' needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve tooling problems and provide assistance to manufacturing, inspection and engineering issues.
• Metrology support: tooling/production/inspection.
• Tooling: setup per tool drawing or cad model
• Production: setup shop aids, align flight hardware per customer's drawings or CAD model
• Inspection: support inspections needs for in-process and End Item Data Pack deliverables

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• This entry level position requires 1 to 3 years of hands on mechanical background with discipline's in - Tooling, Aerospace/Aircraft Technician, Laser-Tracker operation
• General knowledge with spatial analyzer software or similar software
• General knowledge and experience using CAD software
• Experience with MS Excel
• Ability to read drawings/blueprints and interpret GD&T

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in engineering or metrology disciplines
• Some college preferred.
• Familiarity with working around delicate spacecraft hardware
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate equipment weighting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and sometimes access challenging locations

Salary Range: $42,100.00 - $70,100.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
