Description:
Our Legal Department in Latham is ?hiring a full-time Associate In-House Counsel to join their team! The hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm.Responsibilities:
- review and draft proposed contracts, assist in the negotiation of contracts, and ensure that contracts meet business and legal objectives;
- provide legal advice with respect to corporate governance and administration;
- assist in preparing and reviewing corporate documents including bylaws, minutes, resolutions, policies, procedures, and forms;
- provide legal guidance and support for various practice activities and issues;
- support CCP TASS risk management activities by anticipating and guarding against legal risks to A Multispecialty Medical Group;
- monitor pertinent legislative and regulatory developments;
- educate board, management, health care providers, and other staff when necessary;
- assist in overseeing outside counsel; and
- assist in handling complex legal matters, business transactions, or other projects as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- All candidates must have the following, or substantially similar, qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Five (5) years Health law experience in private practice or as in-house counsel
- Admission to practice law in New York within 180 days of hire
