Position Summary: As an Associate Director/Director Business & IT Architect you will work across stakeholders and be responsible for successfully developing business and IT architecture, business processes, roadmaps, strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure that existing and planned solution components remain strategically aligned with enterprise architecture standards to meet both current and future business needs, technical constraints, and performance requirements. You will oversee the quality of output arising from solution build and be responsible for acceptance of the technical integrity and architectural compliance of the solution.
Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Map and maintain end-to-end business processes using a variety of modalities e.g., business object models, entity lifecycle diagrams, enterprise data models.
- Identify opportunities for improvement outlining a plan to address them e.g., business capability models, product (and product roadmap) impact assessment and forecasting.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define business, solution, and information architecture from concept through solution delivery ensuring strategic alignment.
- Ensure that all business and IT activities align with the organization's overall strategies promoting simplification, eliminating duplication and technical debt.
- Based on a solid business-understanding, facilitate meetings effectively; deliver engaging, informative presentations and recommendations to both business and technology audiences.
- Based on a broad understanding of key industry technologies and trends across business architecture, IT solutions, and technology, provide thought and mentoring leadership.
- Evaluate emerging technologies collaborating with business and technology leaders to support business strategy and operations objectives.
- Establish a model for selecting solution architecture components.
- Contribute to third-party technology, product, and solution evaluations, then co-create solution delivery plans, assessing for technical/architectural feasibility.
- Oversee the quality of output arising from solution build and is responsible for acceptance of the technical integrity and architectural compliance of the solution.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field
Experience:
- Experience in life sciences and/or medical device company preferred

- Proven experience in business architecture, IT solutions, and technology
- Strong understanding of business principles and processes, as well as IT systems and infrastructure
- Exceptional collaboration, teamwork, negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills at all levels with internal and external parties

- Pragmatic mindset balancing strategic and tactical thinking, with a demonstrated track record of getting things done
