Major League Baseball's Social Media Marketing & Innovation department is looking for someone with an understanding of the sports Social Media landscape, to join our Spanish Content team for the 2023 season. This is a part-time, seasonal position through the end of the baseball season, including the Postseason. Location must be only US and Puerto Rico. Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Create content for Las Mayores and all 30 MLB clubs on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
- Work closely with the design department to create original content
- Create interaction and generate genuine conversations between fans
- Request and publish multimedia material (video, photo, GIFs, etc.) when a play is made or a highlight moment happens during a game
- Schedule live streaming programming on social media for Las Mayores and all 30 clubs
Job requirements and qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 1 to 3 years of experience handling social media accounts for a brand
- Strong baseball knowledge and demonstrated editorial judgment
- Experience creating content to reach baseball fans in Latin America and the United States
- Experience with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram is essential
- Teamwork skills are a must
- Be proficient in Spanish grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Creativity is essential
- Participate in the development of original content
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $25.00 to $32.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
