Position: Assistant Track and Field Coach

General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Track and Field Coach will be responsible for the throwing program and development of the throwers. The ideal candidate will lead a competitive Track and Field program and implement training plans that focus on individual and team performance improvement. The ideal candidate will prioritize fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture This candidate must be knowledgeable of, and abide by, all Academy policies, NCAA Division III policies, and conference (MASCAC) requirements. This position requires evening and weekend availability.
Qualifications:
● Demonstrated commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy
● Coaching experience
● Recruiting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
● A Bachelor’s Degree
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Understanding of the unique mission of a maritime academy
Area of Assignment: Athletics Department
Supervision Received: Director of Athletics
Start date: As soon as possible
