Job Description Summary
The Department of Communication and Media at the University of Southern Indiana, a public university in Evansville, Indiana, seeks applications for a 9-month, tenure track at the assistant professor level in Public Relations and Advertising. The appointment will begin Fall 2023.
Position Description:
The Assistant Professor will be expected to teach 12 credit hours per semester, which includes undergraduate and/or graduate departmental course offerings in advertising design, copywriting, and campaigns; media planning; and applied social media courses in content production, management, and analytics. Courses taught may include advertising copywriting, strategy, design, and campaigns, as well as social media content production and management. The Assistant Professor must also engage in scholarly activity; professional, community, and university service activities; and advising.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Advertising, Mass Communication, or a closely related field. ABD considered at the rank of Instructor if doctoral degree is not conferred by hire date.
