Title: Assistant Professor of Nursing (Tenure Track)

Purpose:
Daemen University seeks applications from exceptional leaders in nursing education for a tenure track position in the Nursing Department. The position includes teaching responsibilities for the MS in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
The Nursing Department provides high quality, adult student-oriented, accessible education to Registered Nurses. Offerings include an RN to BS program and three Masters' programs. All programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements include a Doctoral degree (DNP, DNS, PhD, EdD) in nursing or a related discipline or enrollment in such program. Certification as an advanced practice nurse in ANP, AGNP or FNP (with Acute care experience) is also required. Experience with program development, student advisement and recruitment, online teaching, and in thesis or project supervision are preferred and highly valued.

Working Conditions:
Climate controlled classroom setting, but some activities/ duties can occur both inside and outside the office setting, including site visits to student clinical sites.
Post-Hire Trainings:
Various trainings assigned upon hire and annually thereafter by the Office of Employee Engagement.
Status/Benefits: This is a full-time, 9-month position. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, and fully paid life insurance. In addition, we offer fully paid long term disability insurance after 3 months of employment. Eligibility for the 403b retirement plan is available to full-time employees upon hire and an 8% employer match after one year of service. Tuition waiver benefits are also available for full-time employees and their qualified dependents.
