TITLE: Assistant General Manager
TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt
COMPENSATION: Salary Compensation Range $47,000 - $52,000
LOCATION: Hotel Tango Fletcher Place Tasting Room
SUPERVISOR: Tasting Room General Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tasting Room (TR) Assistant Manager (AGM) will play a key role in the operation of the tasting room. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for carrying out the instructions of the General Manager to ensure successful operations of the TR. The AGM will help oversee all Event Business as well as tasting room social media presence at the direction of the GM & Marketing Department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
Ability to manage a team of 15-20 including bartenders, barbacks, servers, BOH staff, and hosts
Ensure a safe working environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team
Assists the GM and Events Coordinator in weekly and monthly staff schedules
Assists the GM to ensure internal and external events are staffed appropriately
Oversee training with assistance from Events Coordinator and Lead Mixologist
Ability to tactfully address staff disciplinary issues and to coach performance.
Ability to differentiate between a “training miss” and a disciplinary moment.
Operations
Controlling day-to-day operations by ensuring the ordering of supplies, maintaining proper inventory levels, and developing a working team
Ensuring that federal and local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met
Address or direct facility maintenance issues to appropriate parties
Maintaining cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions
Recording and organizing staff tips
Maintain HTW tasting room morale and experience- aligning with company culture and branding
Collaborate with the Events Coordinator in the Management of tasting room social media platforms, announcements, and postings
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
Because of the nature of this position, candidate must be 21 years of age or older
Bachelor’s Degree in business management or similar field preferred
Sufficient experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Valid liquor license, or ability to attain one
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to bend, walk, stand, and occasionally lift/carry items weighing 50+ pounds
SKILLS
Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills
Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources
Possess a strong understanding of Social Media platforms and how to use effectively
Decisiveness--ability to lead staff and make decisions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE
1+ years of supervisory/management experience in a similar position
3+ years of food & beverage experience in a restaurant or bar environment
Experience working with budgets and understanding of general accounting principles
Experience in developing cocktail menus and beverage programs
Experience with or ability to learn food and beverage technology platforms
Experience in decision making, process improvement, event planning, verbal communication, strong customer focus, management proficiency, quality focus
Experience with Toast POS system a plus
