Human Resources/Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)

NVE Inc. is seeking a Human Resources/Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) in support of our CSMS Program Office located in Fredericksburg, VA. The HR/AFSO will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters in accordance with government requirements.

Top Secret Security Clearance Required.

AFSO Job Functions:

• Protect/Safeguard Sensitive Information (PII) IAW National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Operating Procedures for Industry
• Responsible for Security-related training for all new hires that encompasses Insider-Threat Awareness, Cyber Security/PII, and Annual Security briefs
• Reporting Eligibility requirements IAW contractual procedures and per NISP guidelines/policies
• Reporting Adverse Information 
• Initiating Clearance Sponsorships IAW NISP guidelines/policies.
• Vetting Clearance Sponsorship (SF-86) Periodic Reinvestigation packages for Site Security Personnel.
• Responsible for Submission of Visitor Authorization Requests. (VARs)
• Responsible for Submission of DoS Acceptability Review Packages. 
• Participate in Annual Security Reviews per contractual requirements.
• Attend any Industrial Security Awareness Council (ISAC) seminars in relation to updated clearance policies/changes.

Human Resources Job Functions:

• Review all resumes and send qualified candidates to program office for approval.
• Process all offer letter for the CSMS contract in UKG.
• Send and receive all required documentation to deploy on the CSMS.
• Process onboarding paperwork for new hire, rehires and transfers.
• Submit required paperwork to accounting.
• Answer employee questions.
