Job Description:
This employee will perform entry-level purchasing functions and assist purchasing personnel in the efficient procurement of outdoor goods.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Required: High school diploma
- Preferred: Current college student
- Passion for the outdoors and fundamental knowledge of outdoor gear
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook with emphasis on Excel
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational competence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a team player and capable of working on various projects concurrently
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Confirm purchase orders sent each week and update item ETA’s based on vendor availability
- Request updates from vendors on past due purchase orders and update purchase orders accordingly
- Review new products that have gone live on the website and correct any inaccuracies
- Support the Buying team on ad hoc tasks such as sku creation, product content review, gathering product tech specs, etc.
