Asset/Liability Management (ALM) Analyst

Pima Federal Credit Union of Tucson, AZ is looking to hire a full-time Asset/Liability Management (ALM) Analyst. ASSET/LIABILITY MANAGEMENT (ALM) ANALYST POSITION

Our ALM Analyst will analyze and make recommendations on liquidity, balance sheet strategies, daily cash flow, the investment portfolio, and the credit union's interest rate risk profile. They will work with department personnel to ensure accurate, timely processes and report generation, and distribution.

Job duties also include analyzing and making recommendations to support Accounting with daily management of the credit union's cash position and longer-term management of the credit union's borrowed or wholesale funding strategies. In collaboration with credit union management, our ALM Analyst will be responsible for daily management of the investment portfolio to maximize liquidity and earnings. Attention to detail is a must for our ALM Analyst as they will analyze earning assets and other income/expense to forecast projected financial performance. This includes assisting Accounting in the production of the annual budget and proforma financial forecasts for the strategic plan. In addition, they will be cross trained in the functions of the Accounting team, providing backup as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSET/LIABILITY MANAGEMENT (ALM) ANALYST

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years or more experience in financial modeling, analysis, budget, and forecasting, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Intermediate to expert level spreadsheet and database skills.
  • Intermediate to expert level experience with computers and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with automated general ledger system and financial reports.
  • Ability to travel to different branch locations and various training or networking events.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau preferred.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Credit Union Investment Professional (CCUIP) preferred.
