General Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Manage all aspects of catering and event operations; this includes but is not limited to: fielding inquiries, site visits, client meetings, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, liaising with food & beverage team, on site event execution, billing and rentals, and event follow up
• Create & target client relationships with a focus on building long term relationships and expanding upon current client database
• Foster positive client relationships in order to maintain and grow overall business & client network, this includes touch points from the first client interaction through post-event follow up
• Partner with sales leadership to establish annual revenue targets and quarterly KPI’s; track quarterly production to goal
• Oversee and manage conference service managers and private dining & events manager
• Responsible for coordination and maintaining all catering and event offerings including pricing, processes, systems, menus and logistics for existing & new venues
• Work closely with the restaurant & operations teams to ensure product remains competitive, appealing and ahead of trends
• Adhere to Viceroy Hotels and Resorts standards of service and ensure brand consistency at all times

• Work closely with all departments to ensure consistent & exceptional service
• Ensure proper communication and allocation of resources for all aspects of catering and event operations to provide a seamless and positive guest experience
• Establish a clear line of communication between the catering and events department and the operations teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Work with leadership team to develop an annual budget and strategic business plan with strategies and policies to drive revenue and maximize overall profitability
• Partner with VHG brand tea to execute activations and promotions

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

• 3 – 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the hotel industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel, Opera, and Hotel Sales system knowledge a plus
• Ability to compute and analyze numbers
• Candidates must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to make solid decisions quickly to adjust to the changing market demands

• Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and OPERA
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering exceptional quality and customer service
• Ability to develop strong relationships with both guests and colleagues

• Ability to be assertive and persuasive

• Self-confident, proactive, and able to prioritize and make effective decisions
• Ability to solve complex problems in an organized manner
