Provides vision, expertise and technology-based solutions in long range planning in the area of systems architecture. Serves as resident expert to conducts studies, investigate the latest technology developments and analyze impact of current and future system requirements. Recommends technology, drafts and presents proposed corporate policies, drafts and presents proposed procedures, practices and standards. Ensures that new initiatives conform to the firm's long term strategic goals. Establishes good working relationships with peers and outside organizations. Analyzes, defines, and documents system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timetables for developing, testing, and installing applications. Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications. Leads efforts to analyze, plans and conducts efforts that define the current computing environment and architecture. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, compatibility with other systems, and computer capabilities. Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.
Architecture review board Reviews applications to provide enterprise governance (guardrails and patterns) to ensure consistency and resiliency throughout the bank
Runs daily architecture reviews team runs a lean ticketing process (Individual tickets or sitting in reviews with the team)
Candidate will speak with engineers/developers all the way to C-level or higher must be able to clearly communicate/articulate with diplomacy and be able to push back against challenges
Candidate must have previous implementation/migration experience to Cloud (Azure is highly preferred)
Candidate must have integration (APIs or different protocols (Kafka, Service Base, etc.)) experience in either B2B or B2C environment
Candidates must have T expertise (very deep in one discipline (application development, infrastructure, cloud, security, etc.) with broad experience in other disciplines (this would come with experience as the candidate sees different scenarios)
Financial services experience is a plus but not required

Senior role must be able to tailor communication and presentation to audience (will speak with application developers up to senior level executives)
Must be technically sound technologist familiar with modernized technologies (cloud, containerized code, messaging, etc.)
Candidate can sit anywhere but must be able to travel to New York (onsite 10 days per quarter)
