How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
As a member of Airgas - an Air Liquide Company's Engineering Solutions Group (ESG), based in Cleveland, OH, this individual will play a key role in the growth of Airgas' bulk gas business through the technical sale and installation of Airgas' gas applications equipment to the metals, composite and glass industry. Position will be focused on providing Airgas customers with support and development of complete engineered process solutions including technology and equipment in the fields of metallurgy, heat treatment and combustion to drive gas sales.
- Drive the sale of industrial gases by preparing and presenting technical proposals, with the Airgas sales team, to prospects/customers that focus on Airgas' ability to provide complete Engineered Solutions in the areas of Metallurgy, Combustion Melting/Heating and Heat Treatment.
- Individuals will be involved in all aspects of an Engineered Solution for metal, composite and glass prospects/customers. Including initial contact, problem identification, data analysis, engineered solutions development, applications/equipment selection, value-based proposal presentation, engineered solution and equipment start-up and long-term customer support.
- Proactive technical sales support to Airgas' sales teams using individual's process knowledge, industry experience and applications background in high temperature processing.
- New product/application identification and development, application marketing.
- Interface internally with Airgas' regional gas sales team, engineering equipment engineers and Airgas' corporate marketing and strategic account teams. Externally interface with customers and equipment vendors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Technical degree and experience in high temperature manufacturing fields required. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred.
- 10-15 years of "hands-on" technical sales engineering experience in high temperature processing of metals and materials. This can include experience aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, iron, steel, glass, cement. Additional understanding of material/metal heat treatment and processing.
- Relevant experience with combustion systems, melt shops, foundries, hot mills, and heat treat operations considered in lieu of technical sales experience.
- Individual should be comfortable with identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, critical thinking and working on a multi-disciplined team.
- Familiar with mechanical processes, equipment, process drawings, AutoCAD, PLC and process controls
- Intermediate capabilities with Google Suite
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently (50-67% of work time); Domestic overnight travel required.
- Must have reliable, appropriate transportation.
