Description:
The AP/AR Clerk performs a variety of general accounting and clerical support tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of AP/AR. Will compile and maintain verified AP records, reconcile statements, and issue payment to vendors. The ideal candidate will have dealership and at least 1 year of experience in a position of similar responsibility, and knowledge of AP/AR and general accounting procedures. Must be detail-oriented and good with numbers and proficient with accounting software and with MS applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Will work on a team of 4 and report to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Reynolds & Reynolds software and Excel to perform daily accounting tasks
- Receives, reconciles, and processes vendor invoices
- Prepares customer invoices and credit batches
- Reconciliation of daily cash deposits
- Prepares accounts payable checks and posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis
- Reconciles statement and ledger and ensures payments are consistent with set schedules
- Maintains petty cash systems
- Maintains updated files for accounts receivable and payable
- Ensures that all accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures Provides administrative assistance as needed
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of general Accounting (AP/AR) experience required
- Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy, proof of vaccination required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Reynolds and Reynolds experience a plus
- Intermediate MS Excel experience (will use for data entry)
- Strong computer and internet skills
- Prior Automotive/Dealership experience preferred
