What We Need:
Accounts Payable Specialist who combines a solid understanding of accounts payable principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
What You'll Do:
- Organize and process large volume of invoices (i.e., average of 100 - 200 invoices per day)
- Quality check scanned invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process upload files (Excel) from external systems into PeopleSoft
- Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
- Research vendor statements/past due notices/unidentified mail
- Perform other basic clerical duties related to an accounting department
- Interface with all levels of the organization and set and manage expectations
- Work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
- Multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment - must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 3 years of AP experience (prefer some experience in high volume environment)
- Intermediate account reconciliation skills
- Intermediate Excel skill level
- Customer service experience
- Skills in excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication.
- Strong sense of accountability and sound personal judgment.
- Must be detailed oriented - with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. "Following-up until resolved" skills are a must
- Team player qualities (reliable, communicate with confidence, adapts quickly/easily, ability to work on projects collaboratively)
- Adobe software experience is a plus
- Purchase card administration experience is a plus
