Job Summary/Overview
Defect classification and Tool operation, examines wafers to make a determination of defects

Specific Job Duties:
Candidate will classify defects seen in the production affecting yield.
• Normally receives general instructions on daily tasks, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
• Receives direction from higher level Specialists and/or Supervisors to prioritize daily tasks
• Load FOUPs on tool using AMHS auto process.
• System pulls wafer sample and scans onto monitor screen for visual inspection of wafer.
• Defects are identified with the assistance of a catalog containing 250+ defects examples
• Defects found are entered into the Simax system
Expected to average 1500-2000 defects per day with a minimum accuracy of 95% and speed of 45-60 wafers per day.
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
4 years of high school or equivalent
Requires a minimum of 0 - 4 years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
• Must have basic understanding of tools, processes, systems in assigned job function, and reports generated by systems, while working toward expert understanding
Detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed to routine stain, ion mill, and etch samples
Work Hour Expectations
C Shift (7am-7pm) Thur./Fri./Sat. and alt Wednesdays
