Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of 18 manufacturing engineers and technicians
  • Perform technical review for all RFQ’s and drive site innovation
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership to NBRO General Manager and OpX team to guide the business
  • Ensure engineering team is fully engaged, supporting delivery and part producibility
  • Prioritize work to ensure critical needs are addressed and resources are allocated to the right areas
  • Ensure technical issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Integrate with Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met in production
  • Drive improvements in quality and delivery performance in support of program objectives
  • Engaging with internal and external suppliers to investigate quality or delivery issues, and develop robust improvement plans
  • Managing budget and staffing requirements while ensuring adherence to P&W’s quality and engineering procedures
  • Leading and supporting overall organizational objectives
  • Hiring and developing employees within the engineering organization
  • Provide mentorship and career development to the team
  • Lead and drive quality control risk mitigation through the use of PFMEA and additional process control projects (Process Certification, Green Belt, Shainin Red-X)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 8+ years of experience engineering experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership capacity, interfacing and presenting material to leadership
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts
  • Understanding of technical data requirements and FAA policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience using RCCA
  • Experience in the design, development, and support of production hardware
  • Familiarity with repair and overhaul processes and procedures
  • FAA repairman
  • Proven ability to lead a multitude of cross-functional teams to achieve results
  • Ability to craft clear communication and develop meaningful relationships
  • Experience developing and executing high-impact strategic objects
  • Experience with the oversight of data integrity, reporting requirements, and key accountability metrics
