Job Description
Assists the Supervisor in the production of high-quality aircraft following Piper Drawings, Process Specifications (PPS) and other manufacturing instructions. Assists in meeting or exceeding planned production and delivery schedules while maximizing company resources to achieve company goals.
Essential Job Functions: Performs or assists the Supervisor in the following tasks:
•Perform system operational and functional checks as necessary on fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, powerplant, and other aircraft control or environmental systems
•Inspect and buy off own and other team members work using Piper inspection certifications.
•Interact with Team Members & Piper’s Manufacturing Support Teams as well as vendors, equipment suppliers, etc. when appropriate.
•Rework major discrepancies as necessary. Performs major and regular Material Review Board repairs, Standard repairs and modifications of aircraft due to customer directed or design changes
•Provide assistance when required during new product development, design, build and testing. This may periodically involve augmenting Experimental Flight Test Department in a variety of capacities in order to achieve critical program milestones.
•Assist with root cause and corrective action of nonconforming material in order to reduce defects and scrap material.
•Improve departmental performance by completing cost savings activities such as tooling improvements, eliminating waste, etc.
•Train teammates in departmental requirements such as Safety, Environmental Protection, FOD and Tool Control, 5S and other assigned program requirements.
•Perform duties of lower graded position in Career Path and other duties as assigned by supervision.

· High school diploma or equivalent
· Successful completion Aircraft Systems program or 2 years’ experience preferred
· Related Aircraft – Manufacturing / Service Experience Requirements:
o Aircraft Systems Installer I: ≤ 2 years of experience
o Aircraft Systems Installer II: ≥ 2 – 5 years of experience
· Ability to work scheduled shift and hours, including overtime
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Use of hand and power tools as required
· Follow all safety procedures
· Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
