Description

The Air Freight Export Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of air export operations. This includes resolving conflicts, managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities, and ensuring the achievement of business and profit objectives. The position involves negotiating and managing airline and customer rates, supervising export agents, analyzing financial reports, and implementing strategies for optimal performance. The Air Freight Export Supervisor will also focus on cost reduction initiatives, provide training for employees, and maintain effective communication with upper management.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of air export operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.

2. Resolve conflicts or complaints from both customers and employees in a timely and effective manner.

3. Accomplish department objectives by managing and leading the export team, planning, and evaluating department activities.

4. Provide support to address customer complaints and find solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.

5. Create and manage team schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.

6. Plan and coordinate day-to-day export operations, optimizing processes for maximum efficiency.

7. Negotiate and manage airline and customer rates to achieve competitive and profitable outcomes.

8. Supervise the work of export agents, providing guidance and support as needed.

9. Establish and achieve business and profit objectives in alignment with organizational goals.

10. Search for opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall operational efficiency.

11. Analyze reports of revenue, gross profit, and net profit to identify areas for optimization.

12. Provide training for employees to enhance skills and capabilities within the team.

13. Provide regular reports to upper management on departmental performance and key metrics.

14. Offer feedback to upper management regarding operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

15. Make strategic adjustments as necessary to adapt to changing business conditions.

16. Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field /equivalent work experience.

2. Proven experience in Air Freight Export operations, with a focus on supervisory roles.

3. Strong leadership and team management skills.

4. Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.

5. Proficient in negotiation and rate management.

6. Analytical skills to interpret financial reports and optimize performance.

7. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and make strategic decisions.

9. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.

10. Proficient in using relevant software and technology for logistics and reporting.
