Agent Experience Trainer, Sr.

Job Description:

Works with the Agent Experience Manager to build relationships with appointed agents through training, education, and promotion of Select Health products, systems, and services to build an educated and competent external sales force. Assists in managing, developing, coordinating, tracking, and presenting training to new and existing agents.

Assists in the training and development of approximately 2,000-plus Medicare agents in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado. Reports to the Agent Experience Manager.
Job Essentials
1. Meets with agents regularly to provide agent support and relationship building by assessing training needs and communication of Select Health value proposition and brand.
2. Develops, coordinates, and presents training for in-person and webinar agent meetings. Training includes but is not limited to, Medicare Sales, online systems, member tools, and value of integration, acting as a subject matter expert. Also conducts agency-based training classes, creating agency-specific courses. Maintains a high level of knowledge, professionalism, and enthusiasm necessary to focus, energize, and motivate agents to sell Select Health products and services.
3. Provides effective training and coaching on an individual agent basis. Upon completion of formal training, completes agent onboarding by offering functional expertise, resources, and assistance through quarterly touch points during first year of agent appointment.
4. Demonstrates expert proficiency in assessing the training and resource needs of new and existing agents through compilation of a technical training manual.
5. Ensures agent compliance with training requirements.
6. Evaluates training needs on a continuous basis by conducting needs assessments. Works with feedback from internal departments such as Sales, Enrollment, Claims, and Billing to ensure training curriculum is accurate and relevant.
7. Uses expertise and experience to evaluate relevant department policies and procedures and implements process improvements.
8. Performs accurate agent set-up and maintenance of the agent portal on daily basis. This includes new agent access and password setup, proxy access and password setup, commission report access, on-line billing, enrollment access, and account closures.
9. Works with manager and marketing staff to conduct agent events throughout the year such as regional training seminars, agent recognition events, and agent continuing education opportunities.
10. Regularly attends sales meetings for Medicare Sales. Acts as a liaison between these departments to provide and communicate information pertinent to agents.
11. Provides backup to other Agent Experience team members when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Successfully performing job essentials of a Trainer-SelectHealth position.

OR

Four years combined demonstrated progressive experience in Health Insurance and training role.

Demonstrated proficiency in all basic and specialty trainings

Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing
- and -
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
- and -
Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and presenting in front of large and small groups
- and -
Demonstrated leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications

Creativity in design and effective ways to communicate

Experience with graphics and presentation programs
- and -
Knowledge in adult learning theory and effective project management skills
- and -
Intermediate skills in presentation software
