Job description

Serves as an Aeronautical Information Specialist Instructor in the Specialized Training Unit at the FAA Academy. Performs a variety of professional functions in the area of course instruction, delivery, and development of specialized training programs that are related specifically to the En Route and Terminal options in the air traffic control specialist field.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS/FG-13 (FV-I). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experienceincludes: Experience with the Obstruction Evaluation/Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA) process and the proposed effects in the National Airspace System (NAS); experience utilizing Terminal Area Route Generation, Evaluation, and Traffic Simulation (TARGETS); experience working with regional airports and airspace changes for impact on Instrument Flight Procedures (IFPs); experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for planning and coordinating new or amended procedures, policy, and/or processes; and experience using word processing and spreadsheet applications to produce courseware, correspondence, and/or reports.
