Title: Administrative Assistant I

Pay Rate: $19/hr

Employment: Temp to Hire

Location: Kennesaw, Georgia 30144

Job Description:

The Category Assistant assists with the growth of revenue and margin within a category.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learn and utilize all functions of the Admin tool for product set up and maintenance.

Assist the Category Manager with data compilation and analysis.

Gain an understanding of all aspects of your category item set up by utilizing AutoQuotes, manufacturer web sites, specification sheets, and other source materials like webinars and industry specific articles.

Assist with product/add update requests from customer service/manufacturers.

Work cross functionally with other categories to support data and new product-add demands.

Cross train in merchandising administrative support.

Supports other departments in F11, Bids, SOTF adds.

Effectively partners with merchandising, marketing, accounting and IT.

Supports the Merchandising Department in any and all other duties assigned.

Load all new products for new and existing suppliers.

Review products to be turned on that are in the status of: Created by Bids; Out of stock

and Inventory Feed Drop.

Categorize all products.

Proof Data Associate work as assigned.

Review product web descriptions, online images and online placement for accuracy and optimization with ecommerce marketing techniques in mind.

Assists in making decisions on possibly increasing, decreasing, or adding bulk to products to be more competitive in the market

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent; one or more years? experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft skills: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or 2 years equivalent experience in merchandising.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Strong communication skills: written and verbal.

Independent thinker.

Attention to detail.

Ability to write short correspondence.

Ability to speak and write English in a clear, understandable manner.

Ability to accurately follow detailed procedures and processes.

Desire to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Maintain discretion with all company information regarding customers, pricing, products, and procedures.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Must be able to bend, reach and stoop occasionally to reach file cabinets, boxes, etc.

Must be able to look at a computer screen for prolonged periods of time and type.

Requires the ability to read written instructions, reports and other documentation.

The employee must occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.

The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate.
