ACCOUNTING VP (MULTI-CLIENT MODEL)
GENERAL SUMMARY
Based in Atlanta, this role will lead our Association Accounting team. The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for managing the association accounting team and providing accounting services for several of our association clients, as well as being our primary accounting representative to existing and prospective associations. As a senior member of the broader finance team, you will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and accounting at the corporate level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead the association accounting team and overseeing association financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Provide consultative advice, guidance and support to association executive directors and board members.
  • Ensure that reporting to the association leadership team is timely, consistent and insightful; providing business leaders with the information they need to drive financial results.
  • Establish robust tracking of financials to ensure variances are understood.
  • Responsible for Month-end preparation and Forecast model maintenance, as required.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure successful audits.
  • Ensure the association accounting team is meeting its contractual commitments and timelines.
  • Work with our business development team to support the sale of our accounting services.
  • Ensure all client timelines are met and high client satisfaction achieved.
  • Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and accounting at Etherio’s corporate level.
  • Involvement in analyzing project profitability at Etherio’s corporate level.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience.
  • Prior experience working with Association Board of Directors or multi-stakeholder groups.
  • Prior experience with 501c3 and 501c6 entities.
  • Knowledge and experience with all facets of association management.
  • Financial management knowledge and experience.
  • Adept at cultivating key relationships within and external to an association.
  • Able to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • QuickBooks experience required.
  • NetSuite experience preferred.
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS (Atlanta)
  • We operate as a Hybrid work environment, working as a combination of remote and in-office presence, as well as the possibility of being onsite at client and/or event locations.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client, event, or company needs.

  • Occasionally required to position self in a stooping, kneeling, or crouching manner.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, machinery and computers.
  • Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Frequently operates a computer and other electronic equipment.
  • The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate, while event environments may be moderate to noisy.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work varying hours depending on project demands.
