Accounting AP Clerk

We are seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of Accounting AP Clerk in our East Chicago, Indiana offices for National Material Company. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting our accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Sage 300 CRE

- Enter Shop and Overhead invoices into Sage (Vendor, GL account)

- Contract Material invoices (Tekla PO, Sage PO, Tax, BOL, Certs)

- Prepare weekly check/ACH Wire payments

Procore/Sage

- ERP Integration

- Enter payment information Procore (amount, date, ck#)

- Sync New Sub Contractors to Sage

Month End

- AP Accrual

Future AP

- Looking into service that will pay vendor directly

Other AP

- Year End 1099’s

- W-9’s – need W-9 for every AP vendor. If Foreign Vendor need W-8

Cash Management

- Daily update Sage Cash Management (Daily emailed Bank statement)

- Month End (reconcile to Bank Statement)

Payroll

- Weekly Payroll – Lead Person at Waukegan Steel – confirming weekly payroll Info with NMLP

- Track Vacation time

- Send weekly timesheet into to Temp. Agency’s

Accounts Receivable

- Cash Receipt in Sage/update NMLP

- Bank Deposit Slip

- Job Shop invoicing

Required Skills:

· Up to date on latest technical accounting pronouncements

· Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivots, vlookups, hlookups, arrays, IFS, references, etc.)

· Deadline-Oriented

· Team-Oriented

· Organized, efficient and attention to detail

· Strong interpersonal, oral and written skills

Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business: Accounting concentration courses required if not an accounting degree

· CPA or close to becoming one highly preferred

· 5-7 years of experience. Steel industry or general manufacturing experience preferred but not required

· Microsoft Dynamics (GP and/or AX) ERP experience preferred
