ACRC is seeking an Accountant/Analyst/Internal Auditor at the Sacramento location. The Accountant/Analyst/Internal Auditor assists with accounting and fiscal activities by performing various auditing and review functions under the direction and supervision of the Controller. This position assists with implementation and coordination of the fiscal monitoring process; provides on-site fiscal monitoring of service providers and internal accounting activities; reviews vendor cost statements, staffing ratios, attendance records, and provides training, as needed. Responsibilities also include preparing and submitting reports to the State Department of Developmental Services and other governing agencies; accurately maintaining General Ledgers and Accounting Records; assisting with month- and year-end closing processes; and providing reports and analysis of purchased services to Management. The Auditor travels throughout the ACRC catchment area as needed to perform the functions of the position.
Requirements
Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field and a minimum of two years of experience in accounting activities to include one year of public accounting or internal auditing experience (experience in a non-profit or government accounting operation preferred). The position requires knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, especially those related to government or non-profit organizations, terminology, practices, and procedures; analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information and regulations; good organizational and time management skills; the ability to focus on detailed information for lengthy periods of time and with a high degree of accuracy; excellent interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be proficient with a PC and spreadsheet software, as well as other standard office equipment. This position requires a valid California Driver's License and current California automobile liability insurance. Other requirements and qualifications may apply.
