Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant based out of one of our manufacturing operations. The accountant, reporting to the Manager, is a key part of the plant management team providing support for finance and accounting systems, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial and operational reporting.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Developing and collaborating with office staff and other personnel
- Learn and develop a strong understanding of the various aspects of facility to provide insight into areas of improvement and accounting processes
- Support the timely and accurate reporting of financial, operational, and statistical data
- Develop and maintain reporting of financial and non-financial key performance indicators
- Support company accounting activities including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Manage month-end close process and reporting, general ledger reconciliations, account analyses, etc.
- Maintain adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and SOX
- Weekly cost reporting and forecasting
- Inventory control and analysis
- Ad-hoc assignments from management or other projects as assigned
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 4-year degree in business, accounting, or finance or
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role; preferable in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in Oracle financial system is a plus
- Experience with SOX is preferred
