Tutors work with students in undergraduate courses. They promote critical thinking skills and empower students to learn the course material.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in the 4th floor of Smith Library. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 20 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
Must be considered a HPU student with academic standings. Previous tutoring experience is a plus, but not necessary for the position. Will be required to attend CRLA Level 1 Tutor Training sessions.

Responsibilities:
- Complete weekly Tutor Reports for appointment-based tutoring attendance
- Use QR Codes for office hours and review session attendance
- Collaborate with tutors in common disciplines
- Serve as liaison between students and professor
- Have two weekly scheduled office hours (if required)
- Schedule weekly times for appointments
- Facilitate review sessions for tests, exams, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

- Must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
- Must have a grade of A or A- in the course they are tutoring
- Must be recommended by a professor in discipline
