Position Role Type:

This position is for a Quality Assurance Technician who works under general supervision. Conducts moderate to complex inspections and drives corrective actions. Reviews Quality Assurance materials to ensure alignment with regulatory standards. Self-directed to orient, train, and/or assign work of business support employees and peers.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works under general supervision to assist with the development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures

  • Maintains product quality by enforcing Quality Assurance policies and procedures

  • Reviews quality data and determines if products and processes are aligned with internal documentation

  • Proactive auditing for quality implementation and compliance (i.e. process walks, OES, work instruction reviews)

  • Performs root cause identification of production turn backs/defects using Sherlock or Synergies

  • Surveils operator and inspector performance

  • Performs Product Introduction Inspection

  • Raises notifications of non-conformances, quarantines non-conforming product and when approved to do so, provides disposition

  • Mentors operators with a professional, positive attitude

  • Collaborates with other members of the product support staff

  • Business travel to support other facilities

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Working knowledge of quality system requirements (i.e. QMS, WSM, 580, Dept. Procedures, EMP)

  • Candidates should understand manufacturing and have quality experience.

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

  • Must be proficient in SAP MRP system

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Inspector or Certified Quality Self Inspector (CQSI Operator)

  • Ability to overlap quality support on alternate shifts

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.
