JOB SUMMARY
The Paint Shop Supervisor is responsible for quality of work and safety of personnel/subcontractors while performing routine and out-of-scope industrial cleaning operations at the host facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops TIS’ and reviews safety documents with the crew routinely; evaluates safety hazards on the job and enforces procedures and PPE use.
- Evaluate and coach employees on quality and safety.
- Provides work direction, equipment, small tools, materials and supplies to support the crew.
- Act as a customer/client liaison
- Prepare and submit job reports as directed by the site manager, regional manager and/or customer.
- Make recommendations on equipment purchases, hiring, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Receive and stow materials and supplies received.
- Actively engaged with daily work with a solid understanding of company practices and protocols including the collective bargaining agreement for UAW employees, non-union employment manual for exempt staff
- In partnership with site leadership and the labor relations staff, handle first step grievance; present discipline and recommend termination of employment when appropriate.
- Inspect equipment and small tools to ensure in proper working condition and red tag and pull out of service items that are damaged, broken or malfunctioning.
- Conduct site inspections and Safety Tours: Mod Audits, Prime Booth Audits, Conveyor Audits, etc.
- Second Shift assignment with some training on first shift. Typical work week is Wednesday-Sunday. Holidays as needed based on customer production schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Minimum 1 year of industry related experience and 3 years of supervisory experience
- Must have knowledge of equipment and PPE used on the job site.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
3rd Shift is from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Annually salary is $50-$55k.
